Description

Take the Scuol mountain railroads to Motta Naluns (2150 m) and then use your own muscle power to climb up to Chamonna Schlivera opposite the reservoir. From there, a trail leads left along the mountain flank to Alp Clünas. After approx. 400 m, the trail leads steeply up over the Munt dal Piz to Piz Clünas (2792 m). Carrying/pushing is the order of the day here. But once you reach the top, the view makes you forget all your efforts. Now comes the fun part - the descent on the alpine trail towards Muot da l'Hom. Once here, the route continues on a flowing trail to Alp Laret. This is the perfect place for a break with homemade Kaiserschmarrn or something similar during operating hours (alpine summer grazing). If you have already satisfied your hunger for trails here, you can follow the trail to Ftan/Scuol. Otherwise, there is still something to discover in the opposite direction: Val Tasna. The trail leads via Alp Valmala through the wild valley, over the "Tasnan" torrent and back to Ftan/Scuol.

Be considerate when crossing and overtaking hikers. Most of the mountain bike routes in Graubünden are on single trails that are also signposted as hiking trails. Hikers always have right of way.

From the north: via Landquart - Klosters by car transport through the Vereina Tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via the Flüela Pass to the Lower Engadine on H27
From the east: via Landeck / Austria in the direction of St. Moritz on H27
From the south: via Reschenpass (Nauders-Martina) or Ofenpass (Val Müstair-Zernez) on H27

Scuol is located directly on the Engadine road H27 (20 minutes drive from Vereina south portal)
