Places of Magic - Morissen

In Val Lumnezia you will find many powerful, natural places. The hike takes you from one power spot to another. Perhaps you will feel the different energy qualities or even find long-sought answers to certain questions.

The hike starts at the old mill at the lower village edge of Morissen. The building was converted into a restaurant, the mill including the old mill mechanism was restored and is now used for demonstration purposes. After a walk through the village, the path leads at the upper village edge to the right towards Sogn Carli. Through gentle meadowland, you first hike along the road up to the beautiful hiking trail to Giatreis. At the top, at the holy niche (64), you can enjoy the wide view into Val Lumnezia and the impressive mountain panorama on the opposite valley side. The hike continues towards Uaul da Sogn Carli (65). Once at the hilltop, you enter the cozy clearing with the small chapel Sogn Carli (66).  From here you have a wonderful view of the Ruinaulta. 

64. The holy niche with its high, healing energies is dedicated to the plague saint Sogn Roc as protection against the spread of evil diseases. On the painting is the inscription "Protegi nus da malsognas" which means protect us from diseases. The boulder above the niche shows building-up and breaking-down forces. Additionally, it seems to be part of a stone system.

65. On closer inspection, you will discover an extraordinary number of forked trees, so-called Zwiesel trees, which indicate a large stimulation zone. The energy flow in the V-fork is particularly high. You can use it to recharge yourself with energy.

66. Sogn Carli has a special charm. From here, the couples of Morissen used to "fetch" their children. The place is cool, sometimes even slightly chilly. The impressive view of the Tödi chain, the Signina group, and the Ruinaulta is magnificent. The energetic measurement showed rather low Bovis values, but overall Sogn Carli is a harmoniously balanced place that was used in pre-Christian times for seasonal celebrations related to rebirth.

The Swiss power places research center, in cooperation with Lumnezia Tourism, has tested 66 special places in the region and documented them in 12 hiking routes. Information about the routes can be found in the book "Places of Magic", available at the Vella information office.
