Description

A place to linger and forget: The starting point Radons is already located in beautiful scenery surrounded by an impressive mountain world. From there, it continues along a wide path up to Alp Schmorras. Along the way, you can hear the marmots sounding the alarm, and if you look closely, you may even observe them. The same path leads back to Radons.


You can reach Radons by bike and hiking bus or by car. More information is available under the 'Arrival' section.

Marmots can be seen lazing and playing along the path.

Good hiking shoes and appropriate outdoor clothing are recommended.

Directions

Take the Savognin Mountain Railways up to Somtgang and walk along a beautiful panoramic path to Radons, or drive your own car via Cunter - Riom - Parsonz (purchase ticket in Parsonz) and Tigignas to Radons. From Radons, the path through Val Schmorras towards Pass da Schmorras is well marked.

Public Transport

Radons can be reached on Thursdays from late June to mid-October by the bike and hiking bus.


The stop for the hiking bus is located directly next to the ticket office building of Savognin Mountain Railways.


With the Radons bus, you can travel twice in the afternoon from Tigignas to Radons and back.


Otherwise, you can take the Savognin Mountain Railways up to Somtgant and then walk leisurely on a beautiful panoramic trail to Radons in 1.5 hours.

Travel Information

From Chur to Tiefencastel and then to Savognin. If you use the hiking bus to get to Radons, it is best to park at the Savognin Mountain Railways parking lot.


The hiking bus stop is located next to the ticket office building of Savognin Mountain Railways or at the Savognin tourism office.


Radons can also be reached by car. A driving/parking permit is required to drive on the alpine road from Tigignas to Radons. Only the officially designated parking spaces may be used.

Parking in Savognin is available at the valley station of the Savognin Mountain Railways.
