Rheinschlucht circuit with the gravel bike

The route starts in Flims-Laax-Falera and leads through the Flims forest to the Il Spir viewing platform, down to Trin station and crosses the Rhine for the first time. The short but steep ascent on trails must be walked, but once at the top, the view into the gorge with its gravel beds is rewarding. After a few kilometers on quiet gravel roads, you reach the picturesque village of Valendas, where you can take a short break and enjoy the idyllic scenery.

It continues along the impressive Rhine Gorge, also known as the "Swiss Grand Canyon". At the Islabord viewpoint, you are met with a breathtaking backdrop of rugged rocks, imposing mountain peaks, and deep gorges. On gravel paths, you reach the village of Versam, where Haus am Brunnen invites you to a lunch break with local specialties.

From Versam, it goes down to Versam station, where there is the possibility to shorten the route and return to Flims or Chur by RhB or post bus. Those who decide to climb are rewarded with a spectacular view from the Tuora viewpoint. The route finally ends in Flims, where you can relax in one of the many restaurants and cafés and conclude the successful bike day with a drink. The Rhine Gorge circuit with the gravel bike is an unforgettable route through one of Switzerland's most beautiful landscapes.
