Description
From the train station, walk towards the village center, where the Tamina Gorge is signposted. The hike initially leads you into the spa park of the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, where you can admire the impressive sequoia trees. Then you hike along the wild Tamina through the increasingly narrow ravine. At the Old Bad Pfäfers, you cross the river and reach the turnstile that lets you into the magical rocky world. Via footbridges and a tunnel, you finally reach the source grotto. From the Old Bad Pfäfers, you return the same way back to Bad Ragaz. Alternatively, the gorge bus or the Rösslipost are available for the return trip.
Sequoia trees (power spot): The spa park of the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz features many strong, beautiful trees, especially the two large Sequoiadendron giganteum. Both trees have high energies, but one noticeably less than the other.
Guardian stone: On the way to the Old Bad Pfäfers, you encounter the Guardian Stone in the Tamina Gorge. For earlier humans, nature was naturally alive. If a conspicuous stone that radiates perceptibly stood by the path, it was given special significance.
Bath chapel (healing place): The history of the last preserved baroque bath in Switzerland begins in 1240 when, according to legend, two hunters discovered the warm spring. Over the years and centuries, Bad Pfäfers grew into a sought-after international spa with famous clientele. The originally baroque bath chapel renewed in neo-Gothic style is dedicated to Saint Magdalena. You are here at a strong power spot. The intensity of the earth radiation is very high, the quality of the energies is both constructive and destructive and can support healing processes.
Source grotto (healing place): Past the Old Bad Pfäfers, you go through the turnstile (entry/coin operation) into the gorge. Help yourself at the small thermal water fountain in the tunnel; the water is healthy, its energies are high, and the energy quality is both constructive and destructive, which can help bring the organism into balance with frequent and regular use. From an energetic point of view, this is a healing place.
