Description

The starting point for this hike is at the end of Laret-West. The hiking path leads you toward Samnaun-Ravaisch past the two new stables near Salatsch. Here you can enjoy views of the Samnaun valley. It continues over the Salaaser stream toward Ravaisch, and as a result you cross through the village. Next to Hotel Homann it continues straight on across the stream. From there it leads you slightly downhill to the ice rink, and at this point the umbrella bar invites you to linger. The last stretch continues from the ice rink toward Samnaun Dorf, where the winter hike ends.

Take the Rhätische Bahn (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau or from the Upper Engadine) straight to Scuol-Tarasp station

Anreise Information

  • From the north: Via Landquart – Klosters by car transport through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains). Then take the H27 in the direction of Scuol and Martina as far as Vinadi. At the Vinadi junction to Samnaun (approx. 1 hour from Vereina Südportal)

  • From the east: via the Inntalstrasse B180 via Landeck to Pfunds, turn off at Kajetansbrücke and via Spiss as far as Samnaun.
  • From Süden: via Reschenpass (Nauders) on B180 to Pfunds, junction Kajetansbrücke and via Spiss to Samnaun.

 Please note: If you are travelling to Samnaun, you will need a valid travel document (passport, ID), as you will pass through customs in Martina or Spissermühle.

Free parking in Samnaun-Laret, west at the village entrance.
