Description

The departure is planned from the village of San Bernardino (Moesa parking or hostel, with parking meter) heading towards the Pian Cales ski area, located in the center of the village, from which you ascend, following the road leading to the aqueduct, in the Pian Lumbrif area. At the fork, keep the left path, which continues straight towards the Pass, until you reach its summit. Then turning left you will arrive at the small lakes (Lake Moesola) and the Hospice. During the summer season the San Bernardino Pass Hospice is open offering catering services.

Public Transport

From both the North and the South, the village of San Bernardino is accessible via train and post bus connections (from the North: train Zurich - Chur, followed by post bus; from the South: train Chiasso - Bellinzona, followed by post bus). 


Direct services excellently connect Moesano with the capital of Ticino, Bellinzona, and with that of the Canton of Grisons, Chur.

Thanks to highway connections from the north A3 Zurich - Sargans and A13 Sargans - San Bernardino and from the south A2 Chiasso - Bellinzona and A13 Bellinzona - San Bernardino, Moesano is conveniently accessible throughout the year.
