Details
Description
The route takes us on both sides of the Hinterrhein through the lovely valley shaped by agriculture. From Zillis it goes to Donat and Clugin and onward along a shady nature path to Andeer. A stop is recommended in Clugin at the idyllic listed church. In Andeer we cross the Hinterrhein at the southern exit of the village and cycle leisurely through the historic village that invites you to linger. At the mineral spa we leave Andeer heading up towards Pignia, where we enjoy an unobstructed view of the opposite Schamserberg. After a loop along the forest edge above the village, we descend at speed to Pignia Bogn, where the mineral-rich source of the Andeer health spa springs. On side paths, it continues to Zillis with the historically significant St. Martin Church from the 12th century. The route ends with a loop from Zillis up to Reischen to the fireplace on the other side of the covered wooden bridge. We enjoy once again the wonderful view over the Vals Schons before descending back to Zillis.
Highlights along the route
