Description

From Scuol take the mountain railways to the Motta Naluns ski area and continue to the mountain station of Mot da Ri (2582 m above sea level). From the mountain station traverse southeastwards. The short ascent goes westwards to the Fuorcla Clünas (2724 m above sea level); a ski depot is recommended below the rock step. The short final ascent should be done on foot and leads over the north ridge to Piz Clünas (2793 m above sea level). From the summit almost the entire Lower Engadin should be visible. Various descent options back to the ski area or to Ftan. The respective wildlife protection zones must be observed.

Hidden Gem

For advanced skiers, the descent into Val Tasna is recommended, but it requires a safe avalanche situation and good visibility conditions.

  • Hourly service to Scuol-Tarasp by the Rhaetian Railway (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau or from the Upper Engadin)

  • Hourly service to Scuol-Tarasp station by PostBus (from Martina, Sent, Ftan or Tarasp)

Travel Information


  • From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via the Flüela pass into the Lower Engadin on H27

  • From the east: via Landeck / Austria towards St. Moritz on H27

  • From the south: via Reschen pass (Nauders-Martina) or Ofen pass (Val Müstair-Zernez) on H27

  • Scuol is located directly on the Engadin road H27 (20 minutes drive from the Vereina south portal).
