Description

At the beginning, you hike north. Soon you will cross the huge dam of the Sufnersee. Information boards from Kraftwerke Hinterrhein offer the opportunity to learn about the company’s facilities. Immediately after the dam, the path turns south. It continues along the Sufnersee towards Splügen. Enjoy the view of the other side of the lake with the village of Sufers. At the end of the lake, the path continues near the highway to the south and crosses the Hinterrhein. Shortly thereafter, the path splits. Here you must decide whether to return to the starting point of the hike in Sufers or continue your hike towards Splügen.

Information on the condition of the winter hiking trails in the Rheinwald can be found here.
