Details
Description
The trail leads into the wild Lawoitobel and then climbs steeply up the Morgang (an alpine hiking route), gaining 500 meters in elevation up to Mutta Sura. Once at the top, it’s just a stone’s throw to a refreshing footbath in the Strudeltöpfe. The panoramic views across the Domleschg and Surselva valleys are breathtaking.
The descent from Alp Mora down to Bargis remains exciting and requires sure-footedness. Along the historic Polish Trail (Polenweg), you’ll pass old stone shelters once used by shepherds.
The final stretch leads via Alp Lavadignas, across alpine meadows, before the mountain path becomes a forest road after crossing a stream. On the Bargis plateau, you can cool your feet in the stream once more before relaxing at the Berggasthaus Bargis (Bargis mountain inn).
