Description

The Senda Sursilvana Alpina starts in the valley village of Trun, characterized by traditional houses and a baroque village church. Trun is very easy to reach by public transport.

From Trun, the path leads through forests and steadily uphill over the Alp da Punteglias. Along the way, beautiful views of the Vorderrheintal and the surrounding peaks open up again and again. With increasing altitude, the landscape becomes more alpine and wild until you finally reach the idyllically located Camona da Punteglias at the foot of the Tödi massif.

Important: The Camona da Cavardiras is being rebuilt. Whether the hut can be reopened in 2027 is still uncertain.

Safety Note

The tour should not be undertaken in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes in the mountains are common. If a rain front or similar develops during the hike, you should turn back in time.

Equipment

For the long-distance hike, it is recommended: hiking backpack with rain cover, good hiking boots or trekking shoes with a firm sole, weather-appropriate clothing in a layering system including rain and sun protection, change of clothes, provisions and drinking water, telescopic poles, a first aid kit, pocket knife, headlamp, maps, hut sleeping bag as well as personal hygiene items.
