Description

From dawn to dusk, but especially during the day, this forest loop on the north slope below San Jon offers a lot of variety and enough shade to master the steep ascent.
Starting at the mineral water fountain in Scuol Plaz, head south through the old village part to the covered wooden bridge and up to the Gurlaina campsite. Here a steep gravel path goes directly to the road to S-charl. Constantly steeply ascending over forest paths, we cross this paved road twice more and reach the viewpoint "Bellavista" on a hill with an inviting bench and a wide view over the entire village. The following descent (rooty and rocky) leads us zigzag back to the paved road between Gurlaina and Scuol, which we follow downhill for 100 meters and then turn right into the forest onto the Helsana Trail. This flat trail leads to above Pradella to the Aual da Triazza. Along this creek we climb to the right up to the clearing "Plan Grond" and proceed along the clearing back towards Scuol. Parallel to the Helsana Walking Trail, the path leads to the creek "Val Lischana." Here the route branches off to the right and leads to the steel bridge at the Lischana spring. After crossing the Inn at this lowest point of the route, we continuously head west on paved and cobbled roads back into the old village part of Scuol and thus to the start and finish point of the loop.
