Description

In the middle of the village of St. Martin you will already find the first pink signposts. If you start from Friggahüs, you will also find the first signposts near the post bus stop.

Behind the houses of St. Martin, the route climbs steeply uphill. Here it is good to create a less steep track. Later we go on a forest road to Inder Wasma. At the edge of the forest, please be sure to observe the signposted wildlife rest zone. Once you have arrived at Wasma, you can now trudge horizontally to Wasma. It's worth taking a long break here, because the views of the Brigelserhörner are simply unforgettable.

The descent route is now laid out in such a way that you can slide down fun slopes or hike down leisurely. There is often light powder snow in this area because the sun only shines gently in winter. The wonderful panorama is always in view. Almost at the end of the tour you can walk straight down to Friggahüs to the post bus stop or cross back to St. Martin to the car.

Sicherheitshinweis

This snowshoe tour is marked off-road with pink posts, but is not groomed. There are no steeper slopes that are prone to avalanches. However, if there is a high risk of avalanches, tours in unsecured terrain must be avoided as a matter of principle.

You can find out more about the current avalanche danger on WhiteRisk .

For carefree enjoyment on longer tours, we recommend our mountain guides and snowshoe hiking guides of the Surselva.

Ausrüstung

Well-functioning snowshoes, poles with winter plates, good footwear, clothing suitable for winter. The wind can significantly lower the perceived temperature in winter: don't forget winter gloves, hat, thermos bottle, etc.
