A ski route in the magnificent high valley Avers. From Pürt, you ascend the Grosshorn on the western side of the Averser Rhine with a fantastic view into Madris and Avers.

Description
On this ski route, if you arrive by car, it is best to use the Grosshorn parking lot between Avers-Cresta and Avers-Pürt on the right side of the road. If you arrive by PostBus, you can get off at Avers-Pürt. The tour to the Grosshorn is not too strenuous and is well suited for beginners. From the Grosshorn parking lot, walk below the main road to Pürt and cross the Rhine by bridge there. Slightly ascending southward to Mieschboda and then over the southern ridge of the Cherlibach to point 2341. Then to "Uf da Stück" and west onto the north ridge. From there, continue to the summit. A magnificent view of the Val Madris and Avers with the Piz Platta awaits you. The descent is then along the ascent route. Attention: Observe wildlife resting zones. Hotel Capetta in Avers-Cresta is well suited as an overnight option and also as a dining tip after the tour.

Avers-Pürt is accessible by PostBus. The bus stop is directly in the village center. Further information is available on the SBB website: www.sbb.ch.
Travel Information
Coming from the north or south, leave the A13 at the "Avers" exit. Then follow the valley along the cantonal road to Cröt. In Cröt, before entering the village, turn left on the cantonal road, ascending where you enter the high valley. Follow the road to the first village Avers-Cresta and a little further until you see the Grosshorn parking lot on the right side.
