Ski tour to the Zalöner Alp (P.2527)

This is how you imagine ski tours. Open slopes with plenty of space for great turns, a warming wooden wall at a hut for a break and a panorama at the summit that never ceases to amaze.

The tour is best started from Inner Zalön. However, it is also possible to start 300 meters further down, in Safien Platz. At the beginning, we follow the tracks over the first slope and over the “Hütta Tobel”. A road serves as a guide. We soon spot the Zalön huts and can look forward to a short break. The tree line is now definitely reached and the slopes become even more open. Even those who enjoy the ascent will see the huge potential for generous turns on the descent.

The last upswing to the ridge has a few places over 30 degrees and requires a good choice of route in challenging conditions. Caution is also required on the last two meters. Because now you could almost be frightened by the slowly appearing panorama. The view up here is always brilliant.

The descent follows the ascent route, although the generous slopes allow for different variations.

Our tip is NOT to descend through the forest on the other side of the ravine at the end of the descent. On the one hand, the descent is not very rewarding and on the other hand, the wild animals that find shelter and food here will thank you.
