Description
The Skill Loop is designed as an independently rideable exercise circuit. The goal is a low-threshold access to riding technique, in which the most important basics are conveyed in a structured and practical manner. The implementation was carried out in collaboration with Graubünden Bike, the municipality of Samnaun, and the Samnaun guest information; Samnaun acts as a pilot municipality in Graubünden.
Route guidance and access
The circuit starts in Samnaun and mostly follows the existing valley loop or sections of the valley trail (Trail No. 22). The exercise sections are located on forest roads or easy singletrail terrain (S1).
Learning stations at a glance
The Skill Loop includes an information board, hints on bike settings, as well as eight core exercises. The stations are labeled as follows:
- Info board / bike settings
- Starting / stopping
- Riding slowly
- Riding curves
- Riding downhill
- Braking
- Riding down steps
- Shifting / pedaling
- Rolling over obstacles
