Morning exercise for fathers or mothers, back in time for breakfast with the family. T2
Details
Description
Holidays in the mountains and with the family are very relaxing. Strolling or leisurely hiking, swimming in Lag da Claus, roasting sausages or damming up streams.
But sometimes the sports nerve itches.
If you like to get up early enough, you can do something sporty before family time and also benefit from the early morning freshness. How about a sporty ascent from Sedrun to Cuolm da Vi? The first cable car at nine takes you back down—back in time for breakfast with the family.
Safety Note
The mountain restaurant opens later - bring your own drinks.
Equipment
Running shoes or light hiking shoes are best. Poles provide extra push. This way, you can account for somewhat less time than suggested.
Directions
From the station, we hike eastwards along the railway line on route no. 85, over the viaduct of the Val Drun, and just after the Camp Salins, we turn left, going under the railway line. At the old Cungieri chairlift station, we turn right again and stay on the path above the railway line. After about 300 meters, we reach the signpost. We go left uphill and at the next junction right. This brings us into the Scanziala forest. We encounter the access road to Cungieri, which we leave again after 10 meters by turning right. Another stretch of access road follows until the carved owls. There is also a shortcut to Cungieri here. Above Cungieri, we stay on the hiking trail to the mountain station Cuolm da Vi.
