Stage 7: Rifugio Saoseo - Poschiavo, Bernina Trek

After about 300 m along the road, the hiking trail to Terzana branches off to the left, passing the idyllic Poz da Rügiul, continuing towards Terzana until the junction to Aura Freida. After a 100-meter ascent, we reach the beautiful high moor Plan San Francesc with wonderful views of Piz Varuna, Palü Glacier, and Piz Palü. A road (natural road) turns out to be a panoramic path; passing various viewpoints and hamlets, we slowly descend to Poschiavo. Poschiavo welcomes us with a southern atmosphere. The piazza, surrounded by the imposing church and stately buildings, shows us another world. The restaurants tempt with the finest gelati, and now we have earned them! The return journey by the Rhaetian Railway is an adventure ride, as it passes through spiral tunnels, past milky glacier lakes, and bluish shimmering glaciers.
