Description
We start at the information board in Fadretsch. After crossing the historic stone bridge over the Rein da Medel, we head up to the pretty chapel in Pali. At first the incline is still moderate, but soon the signs show us that we simply have to get the altitude meters behind us to the alpine pastures in Plauns. After that, we walk for a while in the shade, which does not diminish our experience. The winter forest is enchanting and we make good progress on the snow-covered alpine road. After the last firs, we try to keep the height and reach the lower hut of Tegia Nova in a curve. On the sunny south side we settle in for an extensive break. The descent to Platta, through forest and open areas, makes us rejoice. We let the snow fly under our shoes! Somersaults are also allowed!
Hidden Gem
The route can basically be done in both directions. However, from Curaglia the ascent is somewhat easier.
And if you like, you can also make a detour to Alp Pazzola.
Safety Note
From Platta you can return to Curaglia by post bus. On foot about 30 minutes on the main road.
The route is marked, but those unfamiliar with the area are advised to print out and carry the topographic map for the route.
Equipment
Safety equipment is only conditionally necessary on the marked path (LVS, shovel, probe)
Directions
At the community center in Curaglia, we follow the signs to Fadretsch, where there is an information board about the snowshoe trails. The marked trail number 610 now leads us to the alpine pastures in Plauns, and further to the Stagias rise. We turn left and stay on the route until after the forest, where the next junction is. Turn left. After the last fir trees, keep the height over a field and in a curve to the lower hut Tegia Nova. For the descent, follow the signpost. In the forest we repeatedly find poles as markers that show us the way down to Platta.
