Through the old alleys from Pany to Küblis

Pany, Luzein, and Küblis on the Prättigau sunny slope are connected by beautiful old alleys, today part of the hiking trail network. Quite steep in places, it offers an interesting cultural-historical view back to the times when these were the main connections between the farming villages. Also very suitable for children. Thanks to the pure south-facing slope location, this hike has a very long season and is possible from April, partly already in March.

The route is also worthwhile to hike uphill (reverse direction). In the upper half, several benches along the path provide places to rest.

Why not walk directly from Pany to the Küblis station for the return trip or a day trip on the Rhaetian Railway? The postbus is barely more than half an hour faster...

Places to eat in Pany right at the village square in the pizzeria Don Antonio and in Küblis in several restaurants directly in the center/station square.

From the village square of Pany, follow the sidewalk of the cantonal road towards Küblis for three minutes until the junction of the hiking trail to the left. Through the cozy but steep first alley, you reach downwards the lowest quarters of Pany, characterized by farms. Continue along magnificent mountain meadows and at the upper edge of the Schanielaschlucht gorge to Luzein. Here, you cross the cantonal road and meet the continuation of the old alley down to Küblis. Finally, walk a few hundred meters on the cantonal road, over the railway barrier, and then turn left onto the Küblis station square (postbus stop).
