Description

From Thusis station, proceed to the Thusis South roundabout and continue towards Übernolla. At the depot, a hiking trail branches off to the left towards Bofel. The hike goes steadily uphill over 'Under Mädelti' to the highest point at 1060 m above sea level. The descent leads over Brandi, Pünta, and Rongellen down to the cantonal road.

The next about 300 meters must be covered downstream on the cantonal road until a hiking trail leads down to the right. After the descent, it crosses to the other river side and follows the 'viaSpluga' hiking trail on a narrow path along a ridge directly to the visitor center and into the legendary Viamala Gorge.
