A wonderful outing into the Albula Valley: beautiful views, cultural insights at the Mistail church, all off the beaten paths. Mostly simple gravel roads with a manageable trail section from Tschividains to just before Alvaschein.

Description

The route starts from the Lenzerheide Tourist Office above the village with panoramic views and through the forests to the St. Cassian campsite. Via Tschividains, it goes into the descent on a great trail that is challenging yet flowing. With a view of Alvaschein, it goes pleasantly down to the Mistail church, a cultural highlight of the route. A short stop is worthwhile! After Tiefencastel, it climbs away from busy roads over wide fields via Brienz and Vazerol up to Brienz. Behind Lenz near Seznas, a small detour to Lai la Villa is recommended, a little hidden gem in the Lenzer forest. Back at the St. Cassian campsite, the route comfortably leads over the golf course back to Lenzerheide.
