Description

The route, on which the SkyRace Valmalenco–Valposchiavo is held biennially, connects two alpine regions rich in character. The start is in Lanzada, reachable from Poschiavo by public transport. A rather demanding initial climb leads to technical trails with increasingly open landscapes.

After about 15 km, the Campo Moro dam is reached. From here onward, the route offers extraordinary panoramas of the Bernina group and leads to the highest point, the Campagneda Pass. The route continues toward Canciano Pass where a technically challenging descent begins, requiring care and good terrain control.

The last section becomes progressively smoother: a gravel road crossing the Selva alpine pasture leads all the way to the square of Poschiavo. A varied and panoramic itinerary, among alpine trails, scree slopes and technical sections, ideal for those seeking an intense and cross-border trail running experience.
