Description

The enjoyment begins as a feast for the eyes: The gondola ride from the valley to the Furtschellas middle station at 2312 m above sea level impresses with fascinating views. The colorful kitesurfers on the southwest shore of Lake Silvaplana flutter around like a swarm of exotic butterflies and the water of the Engadin lakes shines in an intense blue.

But you have to tear yourself away from the dream panorama – many delights await you! At the cable car ticket office in the valley, you received a voucher booklet that sets your hiking program: At the mountain restaurant La Chüdera, breakfast or a hearty starter awaits, the Hotel Sonne Fex conjures up the main course, and the Hotel Seraina in Sils Maria is responsible for dessert.

From Furtschellas, you hike directly into Val Fex. You get a view over the lake plateau to the peaks of Piz Duan, Lunghin, Lagrev, Polaschin, Güglia, and Albana. To the left, Val Fex opens with the Fedacla stream. In the background, the mountain peaks Chapütschin, Tremoggia with its broad glacier, Fora, Güz, Led, and Salatschina rise.

At Hotel Sonne Fex in Val Fex, you take your well-deserved lunch break on the spacious garden terrace or in the arven-wood-paneled restaurant. Culinarily strengthened, the next leg takes you to Sils Maria. “After eating, you should rest or take a thousand steps,” advises the saying. Supporters of the first option can take the horse-drawn carriage from Fex Platta to the idyllic village square in Sils. There, the charming Hotel Seraina also entices you with a homemade dessert surprise.
