Description

From Bivio, you’re following an old Roman road to the Septimerpass. From this pass, climb higher to the Pass Lunghin and the rocky summit Piz Lunghin (2780m). The trail is fairly smooth and more than fairly steep down from the pass to the lake and continues to drop. After a series of switchbacks, the trail traverses along the Via Engadina through the preserved hamlets of Blaunca and Grevasalvas. A short climb out of Grevasalvas, and it’s low angle cruising through the larches, angling down to Sils-Maria nestled between the glistening waters of the lakes Sils and Silvaplana.

Geheimtipp

On the Lunghin pass there is a three-way watershed: the Inn, which flows through the Engadin and joins with the Danube to empty into the Black Sea; the Julia, which flows into the North Sea with the Rhine, and the Maira, which converges with the Po and then flows into the Adriatic Sea
