Description

This stage leads from the monastery of San Gian (Romanesque Son Jon) in Müstair, mostly off the main road, up the Münsster valley (Val Müstair) to Tschierv, where we leave the valley floor and hike northeast up the slope to the small stage town of Lü. The village is located on a sunny terrace high above the Münster Valley and is the highest independent municipality in Switzerland. The villagescape is characterized by a late medieval Protestant church that is well worth seeing.

Geheimtipp

Romance is also spoken in Graubünden, the 4th national language of Switzerland hence the nickname "Son Giachen".
