ViaSett: Stage 5

Details
Description
In the footsteps of the Romans. It was considered one of the most important Alpine crossings in Roman times - the Septimer Pass. Emperors, kings, armies and merchants all crossed the Septimer Pass. On the other side of the Septimer Pass, a different valley, a different culture and a different language area await you.
On this stage, the traces of the past lie at your feet. Not far from the top of the pass, the foundation walls of the former St. Peter's Hospice were discovered during excavations. Buildings in Bivio and Casaccia still bear witness to the once important pass traffic. At the end of the day, you will find yourself on the southern side of the Septimer, in the Italian-speaking Bergell.

64.02: Lenzerheide - Tiefencastel
64.03: Tiefencastel - Savognin
