Description

Via Misanenga and Platenga you reach Surcuolm. Then it continues through the forest to Tschuppina above Flond. You pedal further to Luvenerstrasse. Now the actual ascent begins on the winding asphalt road to Ruschneras. At the highest point at 1680 m above sea level you have a wonderful view of the Vorderrhein valley as far as Chur. The last kilometres are relaxing and mostly downhill. Shortly before the finish, a small family outing to Rufalipark with playground, barbecue area and bathing lake is worthwhile.

Safety Note

The route should not be started in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a rain front or similar approaches during the route, you should turn back in good time.

From the Grisons canton capital Chur, it takes only 36 minutes by the Rhaetian Railway through the spectacular Rhine Gorge to Ilanz station. Then by post bus line 90.451 Ilanz - Obersaxen to the stop Obersaxen, Chummenbüel

Travel Information

On the A13 to Reichenau, then on the main road via Flims and to Ilanz. Over the Ilanz bypass it continues towards Obersaxen Mundaun.

Parking is available at the large car park of Chummenbüel
