Walserweg Obersaxen Giraniga Miraniga

More than 20 information boards accompany you on the 8 km long nature trail from Giraniga up to the Sassli fireplace. Continue over the 44-metre-long suspension bridge over the Schlettertobel. Crossing the ravine over the suspension bridge, about 16 m above the stream bed, is a small test of courage for some! After a short ascent, the unique panorama awaits you at the fireplace Plàmpoort (1676 m above sea level) below the Kartitscha. This viewpoint allows you to determine all the peaks of the opposite mountain ranges and offers a breathtaking panorama.

The fireplace Plàmpoort, equipped with drinking water from the well and a toilet building in log construction, invites you to linger and relax. The descent to Miraniga becomes a walk with a view in different directions of the Surselva. Once with a view to Chur and in the other direction to Disentis as well as on the opposite side of the valley on the beautiful summit panorama. The nature trail reflects the direct interactions between man, nature and landscape.

During the summer season on Tuesdays from 10.00 to 12.00 o'clock you can visit the Walser stable. The competent guides of ProSupersaxa will explain the exhibits and many interesting stories about the Walsers.
