Description

Roundwood architecture in Monstein and on the Oberalp. Across the pastures of the former «Meder» (hay meadows) to the Fanezfurgga. Fantastic view of the Gletscherducan and down into the primeval Ducantal with its bizarre-erosive landscape. The descent now leads through the fossil-rich Ducan area to Sertig Dörfli. The architecture of the hamlet Sand and Sertig Dörfli tells a lot about past times -  to be read in the book "Walserweg Graubünden" by Irene Schuler. Visit the church «Hinter den Eggen» from 1699.

In case of a path closure in the Ducantal, it is recommended to hike via Hauderalpa and Äbirügg to Sertig. Hiking time: 4.5 h
