Winter hiking around Coltura

This route is not an officially marked winter hiking trail and is not maintained. Depending on the weather, it may be slippery or icy.
The villages of Caccior and Montaccio are still bathed in sunshine in the early afternoon, even in winter.

From Coltura, we follow the quiet road westwards over the small bridge and past the church of S. Pietro. At the junction, we keep to the right and arrive at the car park in front of Montaccio. Here, the path branches off to the left via ‘Gadanzel’ towards Caccior. It passes two farms and offers a beautiful view down the valley and of the church of Nossa Dona. 
When we reach the Coltura-Caccior road, we can either turn right and take a detour to the village of Caccior, or we can keep left and walk straight back towards Palazzo Castelmur and Coltura.
