Description

The start is at the community center in Safien Platz. First, follow the main road a few meters uphill into the valley and turn onto the road to Zalön. You are already on the long ascent. Soon you leave the road and walk on the hiking trail to Innerzalön. After a short section of asphalt road, the trail goes zigzag through the forest up to the Zalöner hut. This beautiful hut ensemble is a contemporary witness of the former agricultural management of the Walser. In addition, most roofs are still covered with wooden shingles. The view to the mighty Piz Beverin is already magnificent. The trail continues uphill towards Güner Lückli. At the trail junction at 2,200 m above sea level, follow the hiking trail to the Camaner hut. The Safien mountain world is a constant companion on the panoramic path high above the valley floor. Upon arrival at the Camaner hut, which are embedded in the landscape like beads on a string, the route goes along the Walserweg Safiental via Camanaboda and Hof back to Safien Platz.
