Description

The Prättigau Cultural Archive occupies three rooms on the upper floor of the Rosengarten cultural centre. Since 1989, it has been collecting written (printed and handwritten) sources and pictorial documents or electronic media (CDs, tapes, DVDs) that have something to do with the Prättigau.

Most of the basic works on the history and culture of Prättigau can be found in the reference library: the Bündner Urkundenbuch, the Hausspruch im Prättigau by Robert Rüegg or the cultural history of the Drei Bünde by Sprecher/Jenny, to name just a small selection.

The Cultural Archive as a documentation centre is a treasure trove for visitors who are interested in history, folklore, art, architecture, everyday life and much more. It is not possible to borrow books and other documents, but it can be visited by appointment and browsed at will.
