Description

La Suosta, Rhaeto-Romanic, means "transhipment point, meeting place". 'La Suosta' in Madulain is a meeting place for art, ideas and the exchange of thoughts. Holiday guests, art lovers and locals spend stimulating moments here in the context of inspiring works by leading regional and Rhaeto-Romanic artists. "La Suosta" is dedicated to the work of Jacques Guidon.

Niki de Saint-Phalle, Jean Tinguely and Jacques Guidon. Three important artists, all born around 1930, with very different lives and creative styles. Can they be united in the small gallery La Suosta in Madulain? As a visitor, judge for yourself.

We dare to try. Niki de Saint-Phalle and Jean Tinguely, who with their team, their creative "family" with Seppi Imhof, Rico Weber and many helpers, have been internationally extraordinarily successful in creating impressive works with completely new materials and forms of design. Jacques Guidon, the original Rhaeto-Romanic, the teacher, theatre-maker and critical spirit, who has helped shape the present and future of the Engadine and the canton with his power of words and as a master of colour.
