The Muttseehütte is open from mid-June to mid-October. In the winter months, a winter room with 8 beds is available.
Description
SAC hut on the Kistenpass in the Glarus Alps, south of Linthal on a high plateau above the eponymous Muttsee and property of the SAC section Winterthur. The Muttseehütte has 69 beds, all of which are equipped with Nordic duvets. In the attic, an additional 11 warehouses can be occupied (woolen blankets).
Half-board, daily, regional and house specialties, exquisite coffee and tea assortment, fine aperitifs and fine wines.
A five-minute walk from the new Muttsee dam - the longest in Switzerland at 1054 metres and the highest in Europe at around 2500 metres above sea level.
