Description
The popular Squirrel Trails leads from a bit above the train station to Maran. Shortly before the upper end of the hikeable picture-book, a big playground with fireplace can be found, which has even a waterwheel to play with.

Public Transport
The Rhaetian Railway runs every hour from Chur to Arosa (also in the opposite direction). On arrival at Arosa station you are directly at the starting point of the hike or you can also take the Arosa local bus in the direction of Prätschli to the Maran stop.
Directions
From Chur, take the winding Arosastrasse to the end of the valley in Arosa. At the entrance to the village, after the petrol station, turn into Maranerstrasse. Follow the road to the public car park opposite the Hotel Hof Maran.
We recommend leaving the car in the village and continuing from there by local bus (to the Hof Maran bus stop) or by foot.
Parken
At the entrance to the village there are large signs indicating the various parking options. We recommend the Obersee car park or the Ochsenbühl multi-storey car park. You will find further information under Arosa Parking.
