Quinten

On a small headland on Lake Walen, 434 m above sea level, lies Quinten and Au. A piece of earth bordered on one side by the lake and on the other by the steep cliffs of the Churfirsten. Quinten can only be reached on foot from Weesen or Walenstadt or by boat. The mild climate is due to its special location. Thanks to the mild climate, not only grapes but also figs, kiwis and other southern fruits grow here. To this day, the village has remained car-free. The connection from Murg to the Mediterranean Quinten is offered all year round and is also worth a trip in winter!
