St. Margrethenberg

The St. Margrethenberg high valley is located above Pfäfers at over 1200 meters above sea level. This beautiful spot is very popular with day trippers. Especially when the fog hangs in the valley below, quite a few people enjoy the sun on the St. Margrethenberg. Be it on a walk or on a circular hike. The Pizalun viewing platform is a popular excursion destination. The fact that you can see far into the distance from St. Margrethenberg has not gone unnoticed by the Swiss army. It built one of the largest fortifications in Switzerland here. The Furggels fortress has been open to the public since 2010. In winter, there are 6 km of cross-country ski trails and the Tristeli ski lift on the St. Margrethenberg.
