Deep in the Vals valley, a side valley of Surselva south of Ilanz, at an altitude of 1,250 metres, lies Vals. The Vilterser Seeli, part of the two-lake hike, is idyllically located in a cirque and fed by a mountain stream. The hike offers a walking time of about two and a half hours and an elevation difference of 600 meters.
