West of the chapel Sogn Gudegn there is a large mortar stone in a wall. This was found during the demolition of a stable in the area of the foundation masonry.

To the west of the village, below the cantonal road, you can see the walls of the former Valendas castle, which was probably built in the late 12th century and the part of the curtain wall that is still visible is impressive.

The Reformed Church in Igis, consecrated around 1100, impresses with a late Gothic ribbed vault from 1486 and a depiction of the Passion of Jesus from the 15th century. It is a significant historical building in the region.
