Tschlin is remote, idyllic, intact and highly vital. Characterized by agriculture, the village presents a coexistence of people, animals and landscape more clearly than any other place. The village belongs to the municipality of Valsot and there are around 850 inhabitants living on an area of 15,800 km².

The Kornmühle Unterterzen, over 250 years old, stands freely on the western edge of the Rütiwiese. It once served as an important trading mill in Eastern Switzerland and was operational during the World Wars.

The St. Justus Chapel in Flums, built in the 8th century, impresses with its historical architecture and energetic ley lines. The altar and the old cemetery with wrought iron crosses are particularly worth seeing.
