The ruins of Marmels Castle lie under an overhanging rocky outcrop above the Marmoreras reservoir. Thanks to this location, a large part of the castle was always protected from the weather. As a result, the Archaeological Service made rare medieval finds.

The scattered settlement of Furna (1351 m) lies high above the middle Prättigau. The extensive Furnerberg essentially comprises the left side of the valley of the Furner Bach. The Hochwang (2533 m) forms the highest point. The settlements are concentrated in the villages of Usserberg, Mittelberg and Hinterberg. The individual farmsteads of the typical Walser settlement are also scattered all over the mountain.

The permanent training facility for the search with avalanche transceivers (avalanche transceivers) is located below the mountain houses at the back of the Partnuntal in St. Antönien.
