Segantini painted the balcony scene in this quarter on a wooden balcony of the stables that used to stand at Veia Sur Ual 16-18. The original balcony no longer exists. In the background you can see the church of Son Mitgel.
As part of the "cultivation battle" during the 2nd World War the flood plain was drained and the Rom river was made into a canal. Between 2004 and 2007 the stream was restored. Now it ripples softly through the landscape.
The Mengelberg chapel was built according to the specifications of the Dutch conductor Willem Mengelberg and completed in 1928. A carillon with 15 bells adorns the block building.
