The garden house north of the old town, built in 1710 by the Schmid von Grüneck. Picturesque roof design with four curly gables; over the south entrance sundial with year 1710. 1941 thoroughly restored and placed under federal protection.
The Camping Carrera is located on the edge of the imposing Rhine Gorge in the middle of a still very intact nature. Very quietly located, surrounded by green meadows and forests, attention was paid to a close-to-nature design.
Drive through the Upper Gate or the Red Gate into the medieval town surrounded by high walls. You will find historic buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries, such as St. Margaret's Church with extraordinary depictions of death and life from the time just before the Reformation, the Town Hall or the Casa Gronda.
In the extensive community of Obersaxen at the foot of the 2064-metre-high Piz Mundaun, the "Bündner Rigi", one speaks Upper Saxer German in the otherwise Rhaeto-Romanic language area. The populated terrace, located between 1000 m (Axenstein) and 1430 m (Miraniga), covers a length of 14 kilometres.
