Ernst Ludwig Kirchner was a German painter and graphic artist, co-founder of the artist group "Die Brücke," and is considered one of the key figures of German Expressionism. He created over 1000 paintings, 2000 drawings, 500 prints, and 200 sculptures. From 1917 onwards, he lived in Davos, where he incorporated the alpine landscape and the life of the mountain people into his expressionist work.
