The Romanesque picture ceiling is world-famous. It has turned the church of St. Martin into the "Sistine of the Alps". Guided tour including a visit to the exhibition on the church. Registration required by 5:00 p.m. the day before.

In the Romanesque period - at the beginning of the 12th century - this is now the only surviving work in the world. The church ceiling consists of 153 square panels (nine rows of 17 panels each), each about 90 centimetres long.
