Faraj Suleiman is currently considered one of the leading contemporary jazz pianists and composers from the Middle East, having built his scene and sound from the ground up. The Palestinian composer, pianist, and singer Faraj Suleiman bridges Arabic music and jazz with his work, placing the Oriental piano at the center of his compositions. To date, he has released a number of albums, including solo piano pieces, quartets, quintets, and arrangements for choirs and orchestras. He has performed twice at the prestigious EFG London Jazz Festival, in 2019 and 2024, showcasing his talent at one of the largest jazz festivals in Europe, which takes place at numerous renowned venues in London. His performance in 2018 at the Montreux Jazz Festival was an important milestone in his career. This Swiss festival is known for hosting legendary artists such as Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, David Bowie, Kendrick Lamar, and Prince. Faraj Suleiman composed the original music for “200 Meters” (2020), a film by Ameen Nayfeh, which was selected as Jordan's entry for the Oscar in the category of “Best International Feature Film.” He also created the soundtrack for Je te ferai un film (2022) by Amani Jaafar, Alam (2021), and Maradona’s Legs (2018) by Feras Khoury. In 2020, he collaborated with the world-famous graffiti artist Banksy, recording music pieces in the “Walled-off Hotel” in Bethlehem, Palestine. The music was played continuously on a self-playing piano throughout the exhibition's opening hours. Faraj Suleiman, solo piano
