Betriebsbesuche zur Getreideverarbeitung in der Innerschweiz

Description

How can grain be grown, processed and processed directly on the farm even in mountain regions? The Innovation Centre for Mountain Agriculture (IZB) will explore this question on 4 November 2026 as part of the graun e paun series of events. The full-day excursion takes interested farmers to two exciting farms in Central Switzerland.

At the Husmatt organic farm in Rickenbach SZ, Meinrad and Eva Betschart-Waser give an insight into the cultivation of various types of grain in the agroforestry system. The farm has its own mountain combine harvester as well as the processing and processing of the grain directly on site. Afterwards, the Grotzenmühle in Einsiedeln SZ, which accepts organic grain and small quantities of 200 kilograms or more, is visited.

The excursion offers the opportunity to get to know concrete solutions from practice, to exchange experiences and to take away impulses for one's own business.
The joint outward and return journey takes place from Landquart, the excursion lasts from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
