2025 is the year in which Blind Butcher will finally go up in flames. With "Hekate", their fifth studio album, the two Lucerne natives ignite another explosive chapter.
For 15 years, Christian Aregger and Roland Bucher have been touring the clubs, theatres and festivals of Europe as Blind Butcher – with over 600 shows in their luggage and a sound that defies categorisation: a radically danceable mix of rock, disco, punk, new wave, electronics and a good dose of trash.
Blind Butcher are more than music – they are performance, fictional character, energetic state of emergency. Shrill outfits and a presence between punk concert, science fiction revue and absurd theatricality.
Since their debut album "Albino" (2013), recorded by Steve Albini in Chicago, they have consistently created their own cosmos. With "Hekate" her uncompromising sound aesthetic reaches a new peak: wild, playful, dark, ecstatic. An album like a ritual. An incantation. A party on the edge of the abyss.
